Terms & Conditions

Rates:

All rates are quoted in $NZ on a per night basis and include GST of 15%. All accounts must be settled directly with Schist Rock Lodge.

Reservations:

Age: You must be 18 years or over.

Minimum age:   16 years.

All reservations, bookings and enquiries can be made by email and will be replied within a couple of hours of receipt. For instant confirmation please reserve via our website or alternatively call us directly.

Errors and Omissions

Any reservation made on the online booking website is made at your own risk. As you are entering information directly into the reservations system, all information entered by you will be assumed to be correct and final. Any errors or omissions will be the responsibility of the person entering any information into our online system. Schist Rock Studios will not be held responsible nor will they accept any financial liability for any errors or omissions in the information provided.

Check In

Check in is from 2pm on the day of arrival. 

You will be required to provide either a credit card imprint at the time of check in as security for any extra charges you may incur during your stay. If you do not have a credit card available at check in then you will be required to provide a cash deposit of $300 New Zealand dollars.

The person registering at Check In must be a minimum 18 years of age and at least one adult of 18 years or older staying in each Studio.

Check Out

Please note that all rooms must be vacated no later than 10.00 am unless alterative arrangements have been confirmed with Colin or Mandy. It would be appreciated if any guests wishing to leave earlier than 8.00 am would settle their account the day before.

Damage and Cleaning

In the event of any damage or additional extra cleaning is required beyond the normal wear & tear or use, during your stay with us an additional charge may be incurred.

Excessive Noise

For the comfort and enjoyment of all our guests we have a strict no party policy. Any noisy gatherings or excessive noise likely to disturb our guests may result in an immediate request to vacate your room.

Smoking

We have a no smoking strict policy within all rooms of our property for the enjoyment and comfort of all our guests. We have provided an ashtray on the deck if required. There will be a charge for the sanitizing of any rooms and any lost income as result of smoking, including vaping or e-cigarettes inside.

Pet Policy

For your comfort and that of our other guests, Schist Rock Studios has a no pets policy within the property, including carpark areas. Should we discover a pet has been staying, the room will require a special clean as some of our guests have allergies to animals, and a fee of $250 will be applied. Please respect this policy.

Charging Bike Batteries

Due to safety reasons, we have a strict policy of only charging E-Bike batteries in the garage area. Please do not charge your battery inside your room. Under no circumstances are bikes allowed in the room.
